For this course to edit your family history film we recommend you use Davinci Resolve from Black Magic. 

It's very capable and well-documented enough to be learned by the average person. 

Beware that all software has an initial learning curve that can take much time to get through and that can also be frustrating and tiring. But once you get through the intial confusion you'll be able to create fluidly and that is very enjoyable. Our course is designed to help you learn each step, feature, and tool so you can get your film done.
