Every film or book project has an installment plan. That way you don't pay the full amount all at once. Typically the project total cost is divided by 2 to 6 payments. The first payment confirms the project and reserves specific project planning meetings and interviews. The last payment isn't due until you have access to the final version of your book or film. Periodically you'll receive a statement listing your current balance owing and the amount of the next payment.
