Goodbye Grandma!

Goodbye Grandma

My Grandma Rose passed away in December 1988. My mom, Leigh Bretz, died 6 months later in May 1989. It was a tough year.

More than 20 years later, I still miss them. My daughter never got to meet those two amazing women and there isn’t any video of them. She has asked me questions about them and I am sad that I don’t know the answers.

I swore I wouldn’t let that happen again. My father’s mother Nana Jean passed away a few years ago too. But before she was gone I flew to Calgary and interviewed her on video for several days.

I’m so glad my daughter has her Nana Jean’s laughter, stories, wisdom, and photos forever on video.

What about the Grandma’s in your family? Have their stories and laughter been recorded for the future?
